Essie - Aruba Blue

Excuse the slightly messily painted nails, but how beautiful is Essie's Aruba Blue? I spied it in Boots the other day and left it on the shelf, continued about my day and then decided I absolutely needed it. I absolutely adore just how blue this colour is, it reminds me of my leaver's ball in dress at the end of my 6th form. Essie describe it as a 'frosty sapphire' and if you catch it in the right light it looks almost metallic.

It applies well, with Essie's signature wide brush and not too runny/gloopy formula, and has such a high sheen that I didn't feel it necessary to use a topcoat. (I hope it lasts all weekend without chipping though, we shall see!) You don't even need that many coats, 1 gives you a lovely blue hue, but I always like to use two coats to really bring out the colour on the nail.

My new favourite polish? I think yes! My only qualm is the price, why American brands feel it's necessary to match the dollar to pound exactly, i.e $8.00 for an Essie polish in the USA, £7.99 for the same polish in the UK. I know I could have found it cheaper online, but I wanted it there and then, my patience is not the best (unless I'm ordering with Amazon. I accidentally forked out £49 for a year's worth of next day guaranteed delivery!).
